Curriculum
Hitting
Building Blocks Baseball uses a variety of drills and activities to teach basic hitting fundamentals. Your Slugger will enjoy picking out their favorite bat and smashing the low flight and soft baseball as they swing for the fences. Be ready for daily challenges and skill progression throughout the season. Batter up!
Fielding
Future gold glove winners start here. Each week we’ll feature a different defensive drill that will be sure to challenge and test your All-stars aptitude. Charging the baseball, squaring up to the ball, and alligator hand is prominently featured. Before you know it your Ballplayer will be turning in web gems and diving catches.
Throwing
Fire a strike and bring the heat. Building Blocks Baseball incorporates multiple ways to work on proper throwing mechanics. Try your skill with some tin can alley and firing fastballs to “Yadi’s” mit. It’s not about being better than someone else, it’s about being better than you were the day before.
Athletics
Burn off some energy and work on coordination, speed, agility, and athleticism. Strike fear in the other team’s heart with your improved base running skills. Pick up the third base coach and turn that double into a triple with an epic slide into third. Test yourself on Building Blocks Baseball’s famous obstacle course. Drills are designed to get kids moving, being active, and smiling.
Team Work
Teamwork is essential in sports and everyday life. Begin learning the value of teamwork and belonging to a team at an early age. Practices feature numerous team work activities and competitive games in the spirit of friendship. Together, everyone achieves more!
Baseball Lingo
Each session features a “phrase of the day.” Popular phrases include game face, light tower power, we got ice, rub some dirt on it, and DON’T be late on the fastball. Remember the phrase of the day and receive a baseball card at the end of practice. Start your card collection and expand your baseball lingo.
